Sweet ‘N Sassy Challenge – Makes You Happy

The challenge is to make something that makes you happy. I haven’t had this stamp very long and have already used it several times – it’s so versatile! Today’s version makes me happy because I like all the ‘gems’ I placed on it. And butterflies remind me of our trip to the Grand Caymans and attending butterfly exhibits at the local museum and EPCOT with my oldest granddaughter.thinking_butterfly

Twisted Tuesday Challenge 4-1-14

Today’s challenge for April Fool’s Day on the Twisted Tuesday blog is to use the following image as inspiration:

I chose to make a harlequin type background (reminding me of a jester’s clothing) and use this cute little bird and sentiment from Doodle Pantry. Instead of glitter, I added some stones to make it shine – reminded me more of the bells on his hat and shoes than glitter.

The little bird is so cute, it just made me grin. I hope it does the same for you.

Buttons and a Bear

The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge requires using buttons so I used the mini buttons die from Stamps of Life to make my buttons.

This also then applies to the Cutie Pie Challenge to use a die on your card. I am entering this card for both challenges.

I hope you enjoy it – it was my first foray into sewing on a card and it wasn’t as difficult as I assumed. I’ll definitely be using this technique more often now.
